Innersloth is expanding its social deduction empire with Among Us Story: On Guard, a standalone narrative adventure launching on February 17, 2027, the developer announced. It's a pivot from the usual panic of the cafeteria button to a structured, single-player training simulation.
According to the game's official Steam page, players will enroll in the MIRA Research & Development simulator as a Guard in charge of shipwide security. If a body is reported, players will have to clear their name and track down the culprit using what the developer calls the "MIRA Method" rather than relying on the loudest person in the voice chat.
It is the first major narrative-focused spin-off for a franchise that became a cultural fixture by letting friends betray each other. For a studio that built its name on multiplayer finger-pointing, a solo detective game is a distinct shift in direction.
The details
Whether the MIRA Method actually works under pressure remains to be seen, but at least this time, no one can mute your microphone during the emergency meeting.
