Chicken Invaders Collection: Xbox Insider Preview Launches Today

Xbox Insiders can now join the playtest preview for the Chicken Invaders Collection on Xbox consoles and Windows PC, Microsoft announced on September 24, 2026. Xbox Program Manager Tim announced the preview on Thursday, inviting players to help InterAction Studios prepare the game for its full launch.

How to join the preview

To participate in the test, players must launch the Xbox Insider Hub app on either an Xbox console or a Windows PC. If the app is not already installed, it can be downloaded directly from the Microsoft Store.

Once inside the Hub, players should navigate to the 'Previews' section, select 'Chicken Invaders Collection,' and click 'Join.' After the registration completes, the app redirects users to the store to install the 'Chicken Invaders Collection Demo.'

Because game development is a cooperative effort, InterAction Studios is looking for direct feedback before locking in the final release. The development team is asking players to complete dedicated surveys inside the Insider Hub after they have spent time with the game.

For players who encounter bugs or performance hiccups on console, the program manager outlined a specific reporting process. Players can hold down the home button on their Xbox controller, select 'Report a problem,' and choose the 'Games' category and 'Chicken Invaders Collection Demo' subcategory to submit their findings.
