Your progress can finally travel across platforms, but packing your bags for the journey might require opening your wallet more than once.

Crimson Desert has received Update 1.14, officially adding native cross-save functionality to the RPG. The update allows players to freely transfer progress and save files between PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, according to the official update notes. It is a useful feature for those who want to migrate from the desk to the couch, even if the transition requires a bit of extra paperwork.

To actually make use of the feature, players must own separate retail versions of the game on each individual platform they wish to play on. Additionally, this cross-platform harmony stops at the storefront register. The update notes specify that digital purchases of Deluxe edition cosmetics do not transfer, meaning players will have to buy them again on each separate platform to keep their characters looking identical. It is the digital equivalent of having to buy a second set of luggage just because you changed airlines.
The details
Cross-save has increasingly become a standard expectation for massive RPGs where players easily sink dozens of hours. While the technical pipeline between PC and current-gen consoles is now active here, the platform walls remain as tall as ever. For players, the update offers genuine flexibility, but it serves as another reminder that while your save files are allowed to travel, your digital receipts still require a passport.
