A massive new fantasy universe is on the horizon, as former Vanillaware developer and Unicorn Overlord director Takafumi Noma has partnered with publisher Good Smile Company and developer Monochrome Corporation to launch a brand-new multimedia IP titled IGNISPHERE. At the center of this project is DAWNGAZER, a fantasy action-RPG currently in development.

In a joint announcement, the partnering companies confirmed that the game is scheduled for a 2028 release on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

Takafumi Noma is known for his ability to create complex and dramatic game worlds from his previous works. Rather than sticking solely to a digital screen, this new venture is designed from the jump to extend into other mediums, surrounding the core action-RPG with a web of stories across different formats.
