Epic Games will launch Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4, officially titled "Override," on August 20, 2026, the developer confirmed. In the world of battle royales, a new season is less of an update and more of a scheduled redevelopment project, and this one is set to redraw the island's boundaries late in the summer.
According to Epic, the season carries the tagline "Break the rules. Change the game." The studio confirmed the update will introduce new map areas to explore, giving players fresh territory to claim while they figure out exactly which rules are being rewritten. For a player base accustomed to constant environmental shifts, a theme of overriding the status quo is practically a return to normalcy.
