He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction will launch on February 4, 2027, developer Bitmap Bureau and publisher Clear River Games announced. The 2D side-scrolling beat 'em up brings the classic '80s animated aesthetic to modern platforms, proving that Eternia's disputes are still best settled by walking to the right and hitting things.
Developed in collaboration with Mattel, the pixel-art brawler features four playable heroes: He-Man, She-Ra, Man-At-Arms, and Teela. Players can take on Skeletor's forces solo or in two-player local co-op across 13 stages, including Snake Mountain, the Royal Palace, and the Vine Jungle, according to the official details.
The details
Limited Run Games is publishing physical versions alongside the digital release. The standard physical release costs $29.99 and includes an embossed slipcover and booklet, while the $99.99 Collector's Edition leans into retro nostalgia with lunchbox-style packaging, pin badges, a mini-Power Sword replica, and an acrylic standee featuring He-Man riding Battle Cat.
For fans whose childhoods were shaped by action figures and Saturday morning cartoons, February 2027 puts a firm date on the return to Castle Grayskull.
Will you be battling Skeletor in local co-op come 2027?
