Marvel Rivals' 50-Player Thanos Raid Starts Oct. 24 in Timed Sessions

NetEase's 50-player PvE mode, Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Endgame, opens in Marvel Rivals on October 24, pitting a crowd of heroes against a giant Thanos and his alien army. It isn't always on: the first sessions run 1–3 AM and 6–8 PM UTC on October 24, which is 9–11 PM ET on October 23 and 2–4 PM ET on October 24, with limited weekly windows over four weeks, per Beebom.

Kotaku's Kenneth Shepard describes Thanos as "essentially a raid boss," much larger than any hero, with area attacks that hit dozens of players at once and an aerial strike from his ship that can wipe out a whole group. Win, and the match reportedly ends with Tony Stark wearing the Infinity Gauntlet and snapping him away. Beating Thanos also unlocks a Captain America costume.

The mode caps Season 10.5, which started October 9 and traded a new hero for two MCU modes. The first, Avengers: Infinity War, drops 12 players into six two-person teams for round-robin 2v2 fights in Wakanda. A Halloween: Night of Illusions puzzle event follows on October 29, all part of the Path to Doomsday build-up to Avengers: Doomsday, which hits theaters December 18, 2026.

Why is Season 10 light on heroes?

Season 10 added one new hero, Gorr the God Butcher, instead of the usual two, and Season 10.5 added none. The developers said a one-hero season is "not the new normal" and plan to return to two heroes with Season 11, according to Insider Gaming. The season's budget went to modes instead, including the Endgame raid, the Infinity War duos and a new Alchemax Headquarters map for the 18v18 Annihilation mode.

Fifty heroes against one Titan, and the ending was spoiled in 2019.
