The curse of the twin Rathalos is officially spreading to a brand-new platform. Capcom announced that the turn-based RPG Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is launching for Xbox on PC on November 18, 2026, bringing its dark, dramatic fantasy narrative to Windows 11.

According to an announcement by Capcom PR team member Toshiaki Matsuda on Xbox Wire, the PC release will retail for $69.99 and support Xbox Play Anywhere. This feature enables players to carry over their save data, achievements, and additional add-on content seamlessly between Xbox Series X|S, Windows 11 PCs, and compatible handheld gaming devices at no extra cost.
This PC port arrives just as the spin-off series celebrates its 10th anniversary on October 8. While the main Monster Hunter games focus on real-time action, the Stories series focuses on narrative-driven, turn-based combat. Twisted Reflection leans heavily into tragic fantasy lore, following two nations on the brink of ruin and the birth of twin Rathalos bearing the cursed Skyscale marking—an omen that points straight back to a catastrophic civil war from 200 years ago. It's high-stakes, lore-heavy drama, and the atmosphere is wonderfully tense.
The details
For players who manage to navigate the main story's dark times, Capcom detailed a highly challenging post-game loop. Once players update their game to the latest version and load their cleared save data, they can access a high-difficulty version of the final boss battle.
Defeating this ultimate threat alters the entire world map. Royal versions of nearly all monsters will begin to spawn across different regions, alongside highly dangerous Royal Invasive Monsters and Royal Calamitous Elder Dragons to test your fully trained monster roster.
To mark a decade of the franchise, Capcom is also offering a gateway for new players to catch up on the narrative. Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will join Xbox's Free Play Days from October 22 to October 25, 2026. During this period, all Xbox players can access a three-hour timed trial for both games without requiring an active Xbox Game Pass subscription.
Additionally, the DLC Side Story: Rudy is currently available. This side story explores the origin of Rudy, the Royal Palico companion who travels with the protagonist, and is included at no extra cost for owners of the Deluxe Edition, Premium Deluxe Edition, or Deluxe Kit.
Whether you are a veteran Rider or a newcomer looking for an eerie, dramatic fantasy epic to sink your teeth into, the journey to Azuria is about to get a lot more accessible. Get your Kinship Stones ready.
