A pair of new free interactive companion apps, Hello, Peach! and Hello, Luigi!, have launched on the Nintendo Switch eShop, Nintendo announced. The new software adds to the company's child-focused My Mario product line. After all, if there is one thing younger players need, it is more screen time with famous plumbing associates.
The My Mario collection originally debuted in Japan last year before expanding to the US and Europe earlier this year, according to Nintendo. While the product range primarily features physical merchandise, the digital side started with Hello, Mario! on mobile devices before adding Hello, Yoshi! a few months later. These latest additions bring the total number of interactive companion apps to four, none of which require an active internet connection once downloaded.
The details
Alongside the new apps, Nintendo has also released two more episodes of its stop-motion series, It’s Me, Mario. The company confirmed the update brings the total number of episodes in the series to nine. While Switch owners can access the software immediately, mobile users will have to wait for the iOS and Android versions, which currently have no firm release dates beyond a promised arrival "soon."
Until then, the green-capped brother and the princess are ready to claim a few megabytes of storage on the family Switch.
