Probably Stolen, a cyberpunk shopkeeping sim from Questing Goose Studio and publisher tinyBuild, launches on Steam on October 28, 2026. A free demo is available on Steam now.
You run a shop in the Lower Levels of a dystopian space station split by wealth and corruption, selling goods of uncertain origin. The pitch sums it up: if the profit margin looks good, it's Probably Stolen. Survival here is about being profitable, not being good, and the goal is to earn enough to buy your shop before the rising rent buries you.
Pick your trade
You start as a gunsmith, chemist, water merchant, fence, or farmer, or from rock bottom with nothing. Other jobs include hydroponic farmer and organ dealer. Each product line has its own profit curve and its own way of hurting you: weapons draw inspections, chemicals bring addiction, water carries liability, and contraband invites raids. Some trades need heavy machinery and permits. Others just need a good hiding spot.
Every customer is a risk
The people at your counter might be Security gathering evidence, revolutionaries looking for leverage, or someone testing whether you're useful. You can make the sale, refuse it, report the customer, or look the other way. Misjudge an item or a seller and it costs you. You can also cut product quality for a bigger margin, at the risk of angering Security or setting off mob justice.
The rent goes up whether your week was good or not. Fall behind and the shop suffers, and one bad purchase or an illegal bust can end the business for good.
Rogue AI on the station
A rogue AI chip is taking over hosts across the station, and every faction treats the augmented as shoot-on-sight targets. You'll need to watch for suspicious shoppers and use your gun when it comes to that, while managing which factions you're loyal to.
