Buying a piece of hardware that has already been introduced to someone else's living room is the price of entry for a $102 discount.
The price cut represents a notable drop from the $599.99 required to secure a brand-new unit. For those looking to step into handheld PC gaming without paying full retail tax, the open-box route is a frequent shortcut—even if it means inheriting a box that has already lost its factory seal.
The details
- Promotional price: $497.99 (open-box, excellent condition)
- Standard new price: $599.99
- Storage: 512GB SSD
- Retailer: Best Buy
In the landscape of portable gaming, hardware discounts of over $100 are relatively rare. Opting for an open-box deal generally means bypassing the traditional retail wrap to pocket the difference. For buyers watching their budgets, it remains a calculation of whether that cardboard unboxing experience is worth an extra hundred bills.
