We are going to have to wait a little longer to hear Jigsaw ask if we want to play a game. Developer Bloober Team has officially pushed the early-access release window for its upcoming asymmetrical multiplayer horror project, Saw: Genesis, out of 2026 and into Q1 2027.
In an official statement, the studio explained that the decision comes down to quality. Bloober Team stated that it needs additional development time to get the game to a place where the team is "fully satisfied" with the project before players get their hands on it.
The delay deprives horror fans of a major, iconic franchise release for the 2026 calendar, but the studio is actively prioritizing gameplay quality over hitting an artificial deadline.
The details
For now, the workshop doors are locked. Let's just hope that when 2027 finally rolls around, the traps are as beautifully and agonizingly polished as promised.
