Steam Is Giving Away Sci-Fi RTS Space Menace for Free

PC players can now add the sci-fi strategy game Space Menace to their Steam libraries. Developer Only4Gamers has made the 2022 title free to keep, dropping the price from its usual $6.99.

The promotion is part of Steam's regular Free to Keep initiative, according to the game's Steam store page. Once added to a user's library, the game remains there permanently, providing an opportunity to test out some top-down tactical combat.

Space Menace originally launched in November 2022 as the debut project from Only4Gamers. The gameplay puts players in the cockpit of a lone spaceship, tasked with slowly building up a fleet through resource gathering, top-down 2D dogfights, and taking on freelance contracts.

The game currently holds a "Mixed" user rating on Steam, with some player reviews noting that the gameplay loop can feel a bit repetitive once your fleet is fully upgraded.
