Steam has launched its Choices Matter Festival, running from August 10 to August 17, 2026, slashing cinematic narrative games like Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls down to €0.99 during the promotional event. It is a 95% discount that reduces agonizing moral dilemmas to the loose change in your couch cushion.
According to Valve's storefront, the discounts are live now as part of the themed sale celebrating player agency and branching paths. Other adventure titles have also joined the bargain bin. Under The Waves has been marked down to €1.49, representing another 95% drop, while players who prefer their narrative choices to be actively mocked by an omniscient narrator can pick up The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe for €7.69, a 65% discount.
The details
Whether you want to solve a rain-soaked mystery or just get yelled at by Stanley's narrator, the cost of entry is currently lower than the transaction fee on some credit cards.
