Genuinely, if a game tells me my own eyes are the primary puzzle mechanic, I am immediately paying attention. Belgian indie developer Eye Blink Twice officially launched its debut psychological thriller, Time To Wake Up, on Steam and PlayStation 5 on October 12, 2026. The game is priced at $14.99 with an active 20% launch discount, putting players inside a surreal dream world where closing your eyelids alters reality itself.

According to press details released by Eye Blink Twice, the project was developed with financial support from the Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF) and the Flanders Game Hub (FGH). To bring the game to console platforms, Eye Blink Twice partnered with Serafini Productions, who also packaged Time To Wake Up in a launch bundle alongside their own title, BrokenLore: Don’t Watch.
The details
Players descend into the mind of protagonist Alan Malone, navigating surreal environments built around unsettled school memories. The gameplay tasks players with wandering through hallways made up of dozens of bedrooms covered in cobwebs of quotes, searching through never-ending classrooms, and navigating a locker-based maze in search of a mysterious book.
Blinking serves as the main interaction method throughout these locations. Shutting your eyes allows you to switch or reset moving environmental elements, flood entire rooms, or flip entire spaces around. An unseen voice accompanies you through the dream, offering guidance and physically opening doors. However, players must also deal with creepy classmates who stand and stare—blinking is required to maneuver around them and avoid crossing their paths.
Eye Blink Twice has been active since June 2023, with Time To Wake Up serving as the team's first commercial video game launch. While the title is available immediately for PC via Steam and PlayStation 5 via the PlayStation Store, console options will expand soon. Dedicated releases for Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch are currently scheduled to launch later in 2026.
The launch marks Eye Blink Twice's official entry into commercial game development while highlighting cross-studio collaborations between European indie developers. By partnering with Serafini Productions for console publishing and bundling, the release establishes a joint distribution effort for psychological horror titles across Steam and the PlayStation Store.
