Developer portfolios are the digital equivalent of leaving the garage door open—eventually, the neighbors are going to see what you've been working on. Leaked screenshots originating from the website of a former Lost Boys Interactive developer have revealed work on an unannounced sequel to Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands alongside a new Brothers in Arms title, as first reported by MP1st.
Lost Boys Interactive, a studio that was previously under the Gearbox Entertainment (and thus Embracer Group) umbrella, is now operating independently. According to reports from MP1st, the shift in studio ownership means several projects, including these two titles, are no longer being developed by the studio, leaving their current status unconfirmed.
The leaked assets for the potential Tiny Tina's Wonderlands follow-up show large-scale environments, including a pirate ship graveyard dangling precariously between two cliffs. MP1st reports that the project may have "either been canceled or fundamentally reworked" since the developer's departure from the Gearbox ecosystem.
The second leaked project is described as an unreleased tactical FPS, featuring a main menu with soldiers gathered around a campfire and dark, war-torn World War II environments. While the franchise name is not explicitly mentioned in the assets, the series' hallmark setting is prominent. Gearbox founder Randy Pitchford confirmed in a September 2021 YouTube video that the studio was working on a new Brothers in Arms game, though official updates have remained absent since. The leaked assets suggest the tactical shooter initially targeted Unreal Engine 4 before shifting development to Unreal Engine 5.
The details
Gearbox has not issued an official statement regarding the leaked images or the current status of either game. For now, the assets exist only as a quiet reminder of what happens behind the scenes with development projects.
Which of these leaked Gearbox projects would you rather see finished?
