The Triple-i Initiative will host a surprise second digital showcase on October 8 at 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET, organizer Evil Empire announced. For players who thought showcase season had safely concluded in August, the autumn calendar just added another 45-minute block of trailers.
According to Evil Empire, the broadcast will air on YouTube and Twitch, highlighting updates for over 40 different independent games. The presentation is set to feature eight exclusive world premieres from prominent independent studios, including Amanita Design, Norsfell, Strange Scaffold, and Team17. These digital presentations serve as central hubs for upcoming indie games to reach audiences directly.
This second edition follows the initiative's inaugural showcase earlier this year, establishing a recurring platform for studios to share their announcements.
The details
The showcase has confirmed a lineup of titles spanning several popular independent releases. Audiences can expect news, gameplay reveals, and release date announcements for games such as Chained Together, DAVE THE DIVER, Brotato, Risk of Rain 2, and a new Among Us title.
Other confirmed appearances include Haunted Paws, Hela: of Mice & Magic, MILITSIONER, Outward 2, Pony Island 2: Panda Circus, and Windrose. The high-speed format means forty games will share the 45-minute broadcast, suggesting a rapid succession of reveals.
By establishing a second broadcast in October, the initiative expands its presence beyond the traditional spring and summer announcement windows. It allows independent studios to showcase their projects directly to audiences ahead of the late-year holiday season, bypassing larger multi-publisher conferences.
With the rising cost of standalone marketing, collaborative showcases like the Triple-i Initiative offer a shared stage for smaller studios. Providing a dedicated space for forty different titles to announce updates at once gives independent developers a concentrated spike of visibility in a crowded autumn release market.
