Twenty years ago, Test Drive Unlimited decided we needed a persistent online world... in Hawaii. Not for racing, mind you, but just for driving. Turns out, some folks just wanted a digital Oahu to cruise around, show off their virtual rides, and challenge random strangers. It was an online road trip, but without the gas money.
