Funcom is adding two more open-world survival titles to its PlayStation 5 lineup in early 2027, bringing cloud-sailing sandbox Aloft to consoles alongside a modernized Conan Exiles Enhanced, per the PlayStation Blog. Fresh off releasing Dune: Awakening on the platform, the publisher is doubling down on the genre with two very different takes on managing resource bars in hostile environments.

"We've just launched Dune: Awakening on PlayStation 5, but we're only getting started," Funcom communications manager Jarle Hrafn Grindhaug wrote in the announcement.
The duo targets opposite ends of the survival spectrum. Aloft, built over six years by Astrolabe — a team that grew from a small group of friends — trades grounded wilderness for floating islands players convert into skyships, solo or in co-op. Conan Exiles Enhanced updates Funcom's 2018 action-survival title with reworked environments and characters, better lighting and effects, performance improvements, and a redesigned UI.
The details
For Aloft, the PS5 release is the game's console debut under Funcom's publishing banner. Its five major post-Early Access updates added wildlife, puzzles, combat improvements, glider customization, and expanded exploration, and the PS5 version ships with all of it. The sandbox itself leans gentle: curing fungal corruption, caring for animals, braving hurricanes, and restoring island ecosystems from a home built in the clouds.
Conan Exiles Enhanced is about bringing an eight-year-old survival staple up to current-console expectations — smoother traversal of the Exiled Lands, modernized visuals, and quality-of-life work — while preserving what players own. Purchases and cosmetic DLC transfer from PS4, and the free cross-version upgrade keeps the existing player base intact.
Neither title has an exact date or price yet; both are wishlistable on the PlayStation Store now. A free upgrade path preserves Conan's established PS4 audience while Aloft gives console players a lighter, co-op entry into a genre usually defined by harsh punishment — Funcom's survival shelf on Sony hardware now runs from spice wars to sky gardening.
