Publisher Gravity Game Arise is bringing 32 classic Jaleco arcade games to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC this winter, releasing "Jaleco Arcade Collection Vol. 1" and "Vol. 2." Get ready to dive back into the 80s and 90s, because apparently, 16 retro games just aren't enough for one go, are they?
Each volume will pack 16 titles developed by Jaleco from its golden age, meaning console and PC players will get a double dose of arcade history straight to their living rooms. It's almost like someone decided we needed to save a few hundred trips to the local arcade (remember those?) by dropping the entire thing on our current-gen systems. A move for the ages, truly.
The details
These collections offer a substantial dive into gaming's past, making decades of arcade history readily accessible for modern players. For retro fans, it's a deep cut of preservation; for newer generations, it's a chance to see where some of those arcade roots truly took hold, all without needing a pocket full of change.
