What it means for the meta
No weapon or balance changes. DMZ infils are less punishing now that enemies can't knock you over on arrival.
A new patch for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 fixes several issues players hit during the DMZ early access, ahead of the game's full launch on October 23. Pre-order players have been playing DMZ for a few days, according to GamesRadar.
In DMZ, enemy AI has been adjusted in two cases where it was overreaching: enemies could knock players over while infilling and could reach places they shouldn't while a player was downed. The patch also fixes players being told they earned zero XP after their first match, along with a batch of smaller visual and mechanical fixes. The notes also list an issue where only the player who killed a Commander got the King Slayer calling card XP, even in a squad.
The campaign gets one fix too: progression could be blocked in the hotel section of the mission Counter Attack, and that's now resolved. The update builds on the DMZ details Xbox shared before early access.
The details
Getting knocked over before the match even starts is one way to learn humility.
