A map that rebuilds itself every two rounds, so your favorite corner has a shelf life of about four minutes.
The short version
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launched October 23, 2026 with Kill Block, a modular training-facility map built from three "Slabs" that can form more than 500 layouts. At launch it's playable in 3v3 and 10v10 Gunfight, with support for more core Multiplayer modes planned in post-launch seasons.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launched October 23 with Kill Block, a modular map set in the West Bridge Advanced Military Training Facility. It's built from three "Slabs," two End Slabs on either side of a Central Slab, that combine into more than 500 layouts at launch, according to Call of Duty. For now it's playable in 3v3 Gunfight and the new 10v10 Gunfight, and Activision says the facility is built to support more core Multiplayer modes in future seasons.
Some Slabs are homages to series classics: Call of Duty 4's Crash, Warzone's Storage Town from Verdansk and Modern Warfare (2019)'s Shoot House. Others carry weather arrays, where fans blow mist or snow across the Slab and leave weapons wet or iced over until you reload or swap. Call of Duty, a series built on memorizing every corner, now ships a map where the corners move.
It's the launch-day headliner for a game that's had a busy week, from a DMZ and campaign patch during early access to Activision saying it learned from the demand for its Black Ops PlayStation ports.
The details
Teams swap sides after round one. After round two, the Slabs rearrange into a new combination with a fresh random loadout, and that repeats every two rounds until one team reaches six round wins. If the timer runs out with both teams alive, an Overtime Flag appears; capturing it wins the round, and if nobody does, the team with the health advantage takes it.
Five hundred layouts, six wins to take a match, and no map guide that lasts more than two rounds.
