Nintendo's Indie World Showcase aired October 28 at 7 a.m. Pacific, packing more than 20 games into roughly 15 minutes, per GameLuster's roundup. The headliners: City of None, the new game from Celeste studio Extremely OK Games, is coming to Switch 2 and Switch in 2027; Tenjutsu, the Devolver-published roguelike from a former Dead Cells director, hits Switch 2 in 2027; and Sword of the Sea ends its PlayStation console exclusivity on Switch 2 — today, October 29.
The show was Nintendo's first indie broadcast since March, announced the day before on the Nintendo Today app, and it leaned hard on dates rather than vague windows.
The details
City of None is the biggest get — Extremely OK Games' follow-up was PC-only when it was announced in April, and a Switch family release puts the Celeste team back on the hardware where that game became a phenomenon. Tenjutsu gives Switch 2 a pedigreed action roguelike, and Threads of Time, a turn-based RPG built in Unreal Engine 5, rounds out the marquee trio. The quiet pattern across the show: most 2027 dates came with Switch 2 Editions or outright Switch 2 exclusives like Petal Runner, a sign of where indie publishers think the audience is heading.
Fifteen minutes, twenty-plus games, four demos, one shadow-drop, and a PlayStation exclusive defecting with 24 hours' notice — for a morning check-in, the Zone was busy.
