Co-Op Climber PEAK Launches on Xbox and PC From Aggro Crab and Landfall Collaboration

PEAK, the cooperative climbing game born from a joint project between Aggro Crab and Landfall, is now available on Xbox Series X|S for $9.99. Previously, the PC version was released on June 16, 2025. The release brings full crossplay support and Xbox Play Anywhere capabilities, allowing players to scale daily shifting peaks across platforms without buying separate copies.

Aggro Crab Head of Community Paige Wilson announced the launch on Xbox Wire on October 22, 2026, outlining the history behind the joint venture dubbed Team PEAK. The game drops lost scouts onto a mysterious island where they must scale a central mountain to secure rescue, surviving severe falls, injuries, and stamina drains along the way.

The details

  • Price: $9.99 (supports Xbox Play Anywhere across console and PC)
  • Platforms: Xbox Series X|S
  • Features: Crossplay, 4 biomes, daily procedural mountain layouts
  • Developers: Team PEAK (Aggro Crab and Landfall)

How a hot tub idea reached Xbox

The project started when the two indie teams met at a developer conference in 2022. Following the releases of Aggro Crab's Another Crab's Treasure and Landfall's Content Warning, the teams brainstormed initial concepts inside a Swedish hot tub before taking the project to a game jam in South Korea.

During that one-month jam, three developers from Seattle-based Aggro Crab and four from Stockholm-based Landfall worked together out of a rented apartment to construct the core mechanics. The resulting survival platformer forces players to scavenge food, patch up injuries, and use tools like ropes, energy drinks, and climbing spikes to assist teammates over hazards.

What the Xbox version includes

The newly launched Xbox version arrives bundled with all existing content updates produced for the game. That includes four distinct biomes, character cosmetics, and mechanical additions like the Anti-Rope item.

Because the mountain changes layout every single day, navigation relies on team coordination and player-placed anchor points. The presence of crossplay means Xbox Series X|S players can form climbing parties directly with PC players, sharing tools and pulling each other up ledges regardless of platform.

Why it matters

The release brings two established indie developers together under a unified project on the Xbox console and PC ecosystem. By shipping with crossplay and Xbox Play Anywhere at a $9.99 price point, PEAK gives players across both platforms immediate access to the full suite of biomes and features without gated platform boundaries.
