S-Game says Phantom Blade Zero will get three physical PS5 editions, Standard, Deluxe and an Ultimate Edition with a collectible steel case, in 2027, per Gematsu. The game's digital launch comes first, on October 29 for PS5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, alongside a new launch trailer.
No physical prices or dates are announced. Push Square expects them to match digital, which is $59.99 for the base game with the Deluxe $10 more. Whether the box holds the whole game is still open: a disc appears at the end of the trailer, but the 134GB install is bigger than a single Blu-ray, so it would need two discs or a download, Push Square notes. Polygon reports that the physical release will include a disc.
The announcement follows a rough August for the wuxia action RPG's marketing, when a gameplay showcase was drowned out by physical-media boycott threats in the stream chat. S-Game now has a physical answer; it just ships about a year late.
The details
The chat asked for a disc in August. It got three editions, a steel case and a year to wait.
Will you play Phantom Blade Zero digitally at launch or wait for the 2027 PS5 disc?
