Super Mario Sunshine Joins Nintendo Switch Online GameCube Library

Nintendo added Super Mario Sunshine to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack library on August 13, 2026, the company announced. It is the tenth GameCube title to make the leap to the subscription service, proving that even a water-fueled tropical vacation from 2002 eventually gets called back to work.

Nintendo confirmed the game's arrival alongside a simultaneous expansion of its mobile audio offerings. The release represents a steady, if highly deliberate, drip-feed of the GameCube era onto the Switch. To mark the occasion, Koji Kondo and Shinobu Tanaka’s 58-track Super Mario Sunshine soundtrack was also added to the Nintendo Music app, giving subscribers a way to carry Isle Delfino's steel drums in their pockets.
