Dying Light 2 and Tropico 6 Lead This Weekend's Xbox Free Play Days

Xbox's latest Free Play Days give Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and Essential members Dying Light 2: Stay Human – Reloaded Edition, Tropico 6 and Let's Build a Zoo from Thursday, October 22 through Sunday, October 25. Riders Republic is free for all Xbox players through October 26, and Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin get three-hour timed trials.

"Clear your weekend – Free Play Days is calling!" Xbox marketing manager Kyle Ocean wrote on Xbox Wire. The usual deal applies: anything you buy during the event keeps your progress, Gamerscore and achievements. All six are discounted, led by Dying Light 2 at 80% off.

Riders Republic's free window doubles as its fifth-anniversary celebration, with Ubisoft-themed rewards and an in-game concert from DJ Henri PFR. The Monster Hunter Stories trials arrive a month before Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection reaches Xbox on PC on November 18, and Tropico 6 shows up ahead of Tropico 7, due January 28.

How do you get the games?

On Xbox.com, open a game's page and click through to the Microsoft Store while signed in to see the install option. On console, head to the Subscriptions tab in the Xbox Store and find the Free Play Days collection. Tropico 6 lets you run an archipelago linked by bridges and cable cars, and Let's Build a Zoo adds DNA splicing to animal park management, both now for less than a movie ticket.

Previous rotations have followed the same shape, including July's Black Ops 7 and Diablo 4 weekend.

Free until Sunday, then $11.99. The zombies are patient; the discount isn't.
