SNK will release Kim Kaphwan as a downloadable content character for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves on September 24, the developer announced on Thursday. For a fighter whose entire profile revolves around tireless training, stepping onto the Season 3 roster is essentially just another afternoon at the gym.
According to SNK, the legendary taekwondo practitioner is a master of his martial art whose "justice-fueled kicks, undeniable and unforgiving, strike down evil without a moment’s hesitation." The studio confirmed that June Yoon will voice the character in English, with Kunihiro Kawamoto providing the Japanese voice track.
The studio has kept its catalog busy, recently rolling out plans for projects like the Metal Slug Ultimate Collection on Xbox, but its immediate focus remains on keeping its modern flagship fighter stocked with active competition. While Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is already available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and PC, the new DLC drop lands roughly a month before the game expands to a new platform, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version scheduled to arrive on October 22.
The details
With a new trailer showcasing his signature moves, players have just under two weeks to study the matchup—or at least prepare for a lot of justice-fueled kicks.
