Hasbro Games Junior Collection Brings Clue Junior and Sibling Suspicion to Xbox

Outright Games is bringing Hasbro Games Junior Collection to Xbox later this year, packaging three simplified family classics for players who aren't quite ready to navigate the financial ruin of standard Monopoly. The digital bundle, which brings together Clue Junior, Monopoly Junior, and The Game of Life Junior, aims to shift physical board game rituals to the console screen.

According to Outright Games producer Guillermo Abajo, the development team worked closely with Hasbro to adapt the titles, with a particular focus on keeping the experience accessible for younger players. "We wanted to capture the familiar detective fantasy of Clue while creating an experience that feels accessible and engaging," Abajo stated in an Xbox update.

How does the mystery work?

In Clue Junior, the core gameplay focuses on searching rooms, gathering clues, and narrowing down suspects to solve a suspicious event. While the digital format automates the setup and card-shuffling, it still relies heavily on local cooperation—and local secrecy.

To prevent screen-peeking, the developers implemented a low-tech solution for a digital problem. When a player opens their in-game detective notebook to record deductions or eliminate suspects, the other players in the room are required to physically look away from the television. The game relies entirely on the honor system to protect these clues before a player makes their final accusation.

What else is in the box?

Beyond solving crimes, the collection offers digital versions of two other Hasbro staples. Monopoly Junior simplifies the classic real-estate simulator, tasking players with rolling dice, purchasing kid-friendly properties, and collecting cash to be the last player standing. Meanwhile, The Game of Life Junior replaces the complex career paths of adulthood with a straightforward car trip where players spin a dial to collect stars.

The collection supports local multiplayer for up to four players on a single console. To encourage replayability, the game includes customizable avatars, unlockable cosmetic rewards, and a progression system where players can level up and track their game-night statistics.
